First face transplantation

In 2018, the first face transplant in Canada, and the first in the Commonwealth, was performed at Montreal’s Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. The procedure, performed by Dr. Daniel Borsuk and his team, lasted about 30 hours before being crowned a success.
