Transplant Québec held its first international forum in the fall of 2021! A recent study on the normative factors likely to exert a positive impact on organ donation concluded that improvements are needed in the structure of the legal framework surrounding organ donation. From this perspective, Transplant Québec staged its first international event aimed at identifying ways to improve the legislation, and ultimately provide an international reference framework for jurisdictions looking to further develop or amend their legal framework.
The WHO has promoted World Organ Donation Day, held annually on October 17, since 2005. Transplant Québec seizes this opportunity to promote organ donation with the public.
April 2022
National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week is held annually in the last full week of April. Transplant Québec takes advantage of this event to promote organ donation with the public and heighten its visibility in hospitals.
