Creation of emergency organ transport by the ACDO

The Association canadienne des dons d'organes et de tissus (ACDO)was founded in 1983 with a mandate to promote organ donation in Quebec and Canada. The ACDO went on to implement emergency organ transportation, thus helping save the lives of hundreds of people on the organ transplant waiting list. In order to successfully implement its awareness initiatives and ensure consistent growth in organ and tissue donation, the ACDO has since benefitted from the collaboration of volunteer officers from several police forces across Quebec.
