First recognition ceremony held for families

In 2008, more than 150 people gathered for the inaugural recognition ceremony for families. This ceremony is aimed at giving families that consented to organ donation an opportunity for reflection and remembrance. These commemorative ceremonies are rich in emotion and always appreciated by attending families, who have a chance to thank their donors and donor families. They allow all the people involved, professionals and recipients alike, to express their gratitude.
