Métro-Transplantation becomes Québec-Transplant

In 1991, a committee made up of representatives of the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) formulated several recommendations. That led to Métro-Transplantation becoming Québec-Transplant and reorganizing its services by extending them to the province as a whole. The organization also broadened its administrative structure, which made it possible to hire additional staff and allocate lump sums to hospitals taking part in efforts to identify donors. In 2011, the organization adopted its current name, Transplant Québec.
